The ID number of Durango is 226. Durango 112 occupies 44,620 bytes and therefore cannot be used on a 128K Mac or on an UNENHANCED 512K Mac. Durango 56 occupies 13,312 bytes.
In this Font/DA Mover file you have just downloaded, you will find 2 different sizes of Durango -- 56 and 112. Durango will look good for "Wanted" posters and for any other large type operation; it has an “Old West” look to it. It also only has capitol letters; therefore you should engage (have in the down position) your caps lock key. There are basic punctuation marks that may be of use to you in “Old West” work. Pressing Option-W gives you a “kerned” WA for the words “Wanted” and “Reward” for use on posters.
As I'm sure you know, with the Imagewriter II, if you want a particular size, you should also load the font size that is TWICE the size you really want. This prints your desired size with much greater resolution. If you want Durango 56 for instance, make sure you also have loaded Durango 112. The Imagewriter II will take Durango 112 and reduce it 50% to 56 when it is printed, and it will look much nicer. If you have an Imagewriter LQ, of course, you should load in the font size that is 3 times the size you really want.
This is freeware. I made this font and I want to share it with you. You are free to give it out to anyone you like. You do not owe me any money; however, I would just be tickled if you dropped me an E-Mail and told me how much you like this font. I would also be curious to know to what use you are putting this font. If you lose my E-Mail Number, you may choose Shift-Option-Tilde on Durango 112 only and you'll see a cowboy with my name and E-Mail number on it! (The Tilde is the upper-most key to the left on most keyboards.)
